Dynasty
Cultural Theme Park & Residential Village
Hanoi, Vietnam · 2016
Role: Design Director — 3TI Progetti Asia
Located 20 km southwest of Hanoi, Dynasty is a 61-hectare mixed-use destination combining culture, history, entertainment, landscape and residential living.
At the heart of the master plan is the reinterpretation of a traditional Vietnamese town, organized around a central lake and conceived as a cultural and entertainment destination. The village integrates shops, attractions, event spaces, water shows, and indoor and outdoor theatres, while residential areas extend the project beyond the theme-park experience.
Landscape and water form the underlying structure of the plan. Existing agricultural canals are revitalized as part of a new blue-infrastructure network, complemented by lakes and water features. Soil excavated to create the main lake is reused to form gentle hills, introducing topographical variety into the otherwise flat landscape.
A diverse planting strategy creates a sequence of distinct environments, including wetlands, bamboo forests, palm groves, open grasslands, agricultural landscapes and dense tropical woodland, allowing recreation, ecology and cultural experience to become part of a single landscape system.
