White Sand Resort
A Landscape-Led Resort Between Hills and Sea
Nha Trang, Vietnam · 2013
Role: Design Director — 3TI Progetti Asia
White Sand Resort is conceived as an integrated ecological resort shaped by the distinctive natural landscape of the Nha Trang coastline.
The master plan responds to the site's existing character — green hills, gentle slopes, water and vegetation — creating a continuous landscape framework connecting hotels, apartments and villas with the beachfront.
Rather than treating landscape as a layer surrounding the buildings, the concept uses it as the organizing structure of the development. Pools, ponds and water features combine with dense planting, forest areas, lawns and pedestrian paths to create a sequence of different environments for living, recreation and hospitality.
Residential and hospitality components are integrated within this landscape system, allowing buildings and outdoor spaces to maintain a strong visual and physical relationship with nature and the sea.
At the heart of the development, a central commercial square concentrates restaurants, cafés, shops and everyday services. Conceived as an active social destination rather than simply a resort facility, it creates a focal point for both residents and visitors throughout the day and evening.
The result is a resort master plan in which landscape, water, architecture and public life operate as a single integrated system, connecting the development to the natural qualities of its coastal setting.
